All you need to get started greening up your cleaning routine is right here. Between these two bottles, you can do it all! Clean sinks, countertops, mirrors, windows, freshen laundry, sanitize surfaces, deodorize bedding, clean toilets, tubs and floors.
You will receive one 16 ounce bottle of Mama Means Business Crisis Cleaning Solution, and one 16 ounce bottle of All Purpose Cleaner for Glass and Floors. Both are ultra concentrated, to save on shipping. Diluted, you can make 2 gallons of cleaning products.
All Purpose Cleaning Concentrate is ultra-concentrated solution for general purpose cleaning, especially glass and floors, but wonderful for all kinds of applications. At the recommended dilution rate, you will get over ONE GALLON of cleaning product out of this bottle, enough to refill a 16 ounce spray bottle 8 times.
You can use this product (diluted) to fill a spray bottle and clean your countertops, sinks, stoves, appliances, floors, windows, mirrors, and other durable surfaces. This is a very gentle, yet effective cleaner. It will not leave streaks on your windows or mirrors or ruin the finish of wood or tile floors. Unlike many commercial floor cleaning products, it is very safe for puppies, and even babies, who crawl on the floor and put everything in their mouths (you can even use this spray to keep your toys germ-free). The bright, fresh lemon smell of this product comes from real lemon essential oil, and is wonderful for neutralizing pet and changing room odors.
You can also can put it to use in my favorite way – dilute with water to make a solution for dampening your reusable cleaning cloths or swiffer replacement mop heads, like the ones I have listed in my shop. Keep the moistened cloths in a plastic tub (used baby wipes tubs are perfect), and you will always have a cleaning cloth at the ready when you need it. I keep a tub right next to the kitchen sink, and another one on the back of the toilet (a little subtle reminder, if you will!). This 16 ounce bottle can refill your wipes dispenser at least 16 times! I use one ounce of concentrate to 8 ounces of water and a dozen cloths. Depending on the size and thickness of your cloths, you may find that this is more than enough liquid for up to 18 cloths! Don’t use that many? Just use a tablespoon of concentrate to 1/2 cup of water, and refill your tub twice as many times!
Did you know it is easy to refill the reservoir on your swiffer wet jet? Just use a pair of pliers to twist and pry off the cap, then refill it with this diluted cleaning solution. You can cover the hole with a cork or duct tape. So simple!
I think you will find that this all-natural cleaning solution is perfect for cleaning anything you can possibly think of using it on. If you are concerned about material compatibility, however, I would encourage you to try the product in an incospicuous area. I believe in full disclosure of all ingredients, so you can be sure you are getting a product that is completely hand made, and free of wierd chemical solvents, animal byproducts, or any other yucky stuff. Do I need to say I would never think of testing this on animals?
If you would like to try a sample of this product before buying, please consider my listings for washable replacement mop heads for your swiffers or similar mopping systems. All of my damp mop heads come with a sample of Naturally Gentle Glass and Floor Cleaner.
Mama Means Business Crisis Cleaning Solution is what you need to reach for when you wake up in the middle of the night, and everyone is barfing and there’s nowhere to lay down because everyone has puked all over every horizontal surface, and you can’t find a clean blanket to cover up with. Hey, sister. I’ve been there. And after a night like that, like any good mother with OCD, I spend the next day doing laundry and cleaning sick beds with the paranoid fervor of a card-carrying germophobe.
My secret weapon? It’s my “Mama Means Business” Desperate Situations Cleaning Solution. Most of my cleaning products are seriously safe. I mean, you could drink the stuff and suffer a tummy ache at worst. Not this one. It’s still made of more-or-less safe and natural ingredients, but it’s really concentrated, and pretty harsh. It’s not the kind of thing you would want to wash the counters with, or delicate linens, or leave where your kiddies could get to it. But if you need to get some serious gross out, and your last resort is to throw the damaged stuff away, or douse the house in toxic chemicals, this stuff is for you. It is made with a carefully calculated balance of washing soda, handmade liquid soap, vinegar, and strongly antiseptic essential oils – tea tree, lavender, thyme and sweet orange. This stuff is not intentionally designed to smell good, but I must report, my kiddo LOVES it! He stuck his face straight in the spot where he remembered puking, and said it smelled FANATASTIC! it is designed to kill every last vestige of nausea-inducing puke smell and germs in your house, leaving behind a satisfyingly sanitary, herbal scent. Here are some ways you can use it:
You can pour one ounce (two tablespoons) in with a load of wash, adding your normal amount of detergent, to sanitize sheets, pillows, stuffed animals and blankets.
You can dilute an ounce with 1/2 cup of boiling water in a spray bottle to make a strongly disinfectant cleaning spray, for waterproof crib mattresses, changing tables, and durable surfaces in the bathroom. Spray liberally, let sit for 15 minutes, and then wipe with a clean wet rag.
You can dilute an ounce with 1 cup of boiling water to make a general disinfectant, good for cleaning floors, countertops, and walls. Spray and wipe, or dampen a cloth in the solution and wipe surfaces clean.
You can also dilute one ounce with 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water, used in a spray bottle to mist dry bedding, carpets, and other surfaces that may harbor stinky smells, bacteria, and other cooties. Use a fine mist, and don’t let the fabric get too wet. It’s possible that it could discolor some fabrics, so test in an inconspicuous place first.
Please know that this formula is made specifically for desperate situations. If you are worried that my cleaning product will ruin your delicate items, please don’t use it. But hey, it might just be better than having it ruined by barf and pathogenic microbes.
