Description
Back-to-School season can feel like an asteroid field. It seems there’s no way through it without taking at least a few critical hits to your best eco-savvy intentions.
In this workshop, you’ll learn tips and tricks to make this season easier on your pocket book and on the earth. Led by two former teachers, we will share with you ways to make better school supply choices, start or join a clothing swap, make zero- or low-waste lunches, and how to recycle supplies at the end of their life. We will also share scripts to use with teachers and schools to encourage them to change policies to make them more equitable, economically, and ecologically sensitive.
When: Tuesday, August 2, 2022 6-7 pm
Where: Juniperseed Mercantile, 5641 S. Nevada St. Littleton, CO 80120
Takeaways: zero waste school supplies and other giveaways.
Please note, our workshops take place on our small and cozy patio, where space is limited. All ages are welcome, but there is not room for little ones to play. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled (no refunds).
